FAITH Colleges is now a certified MIKROTIK ACADEMY, the first and only higher education institution recognized as such in the entire province of Batangas.
This landmark partnership with the College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) integrates the MikroTIK Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) course in the current curriculum of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program.
This certification strengthens the IT curriculum of the Institution’s BSIT program that specializes in Network Management. It equips FAITH Colleges’ IT students with knowledge in MikroTIK RouterOs, which will allow them to earn their very own MikroTIK Certification.
“With the demand for certified IT professionals on the rise, our students will be certified even before their graduation.” Dean Lacorte further adds, “Since the MikroTIK certification is known worldwide, a brighter future awaits our graduates” explains Dean Alice Lacorte.
The certification programs were attended by Professors Michael M. Casabuena and Rommuelle Jester L. Manongsong from the College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) of FAITH Colleges. Aside from becoming a Certified MikroTIK Associates, both Professors are also recognized as MikroTIK Academy Trainers. They passed the two (2) Certification Programs as MikroTIK Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) and MikroTIK Certified Security Engineer (MTCSE). This means FAITH Colleges can now be benefited with MikroTIK Routers and other Networking Laboratory equipment for free.
SIA MikroTIK is a Latvian company which produces networking equipment and software for data network management purposes, internationally known with MikroTIK RouterOS and RouterBOARD brands (mikrotik.com). Currently, there are only 72 MIKROTIK certified Academy HEIs across the country.
FAITH Colleges is an institution of higher learning located in Tanauan City, Batangas. It is the youngest HEI in the country to be recognized as a Center of Development for IT by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). FAITH has Level III PACUCOA accreditation for the following academic programs: Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Psychology. Recently, FAITH Colleges became the first HEI in Region IV to receive PACUCOA Level III re-accreditation status for BS Psychology and BS Information Technology.
