How long do you think it would take to turn 50 cents into a million dollars? Would it take you in eternity, 25 years or maybe you could do it in 10 years?
Let me ask you this. How hard do you think it would be to double your money? Could you turn 50 cents into a dollar? Could you turn a dollar into two dollars pretty quickly? If so, do you think you could double $500,000 and turn it into a million dollars?
If that were possible, you could double the value of a 50 cent piece and it would only take 20 times of doubling your money to make a million dollars. In other words you can turn 50 cents into a million dollars in just 20 transactions.
It might not be that easy to double money, but it can be done. More importantly, this illustration shows you how easy it is to become a millionaire. Maybe it would take you 40 times or 50 times, but it is completely an obtainable goal. It is just a matter of making your money grow.
Did you ever hear the story of the ‘one red paper clip?’ The guys who wanted to trade his red paper clip for something more valuable. In doing so he kept trading up until he ended with a house, which only took him 14 trades and less than a year. It went something like this:
One red paper clip eventually turned into a pen, the pen eventually turned into a snowmobile, to a recording contract, to a movie roll, to a house in Canada. Obviously I left some parts out, but you get the idea.
The point is it you don\’t need to be rich in order to become rich. In this case it does ‘take money to make money,’ but it only takes 50 cents. If you can find a way to scrape up 50 pennies, then you have the ability to make a million dollars.
Instead of sitting around thinking about how you can build wealth and become rich, go out and start doing it. Find out the habits of millionaires and start acting like one.
