Cleaning and Maintaining a Commercial Kitchen

Cleaning your kitchen is one of the hardest jobs we have in our busy lives. Even for housewives, they have so much to do in a day that they don’t get the time and energy for cleaning a kitchen properly.

To accomplish anything on a continuous basis, one has to organize himself – and that is the case here as well. The solution to keeping your kitchen clean and tidy is a process. It is a process that would hardly take 15 minutes of your day.

Keep all the supplies in one place

This is the most crucial and yet hilariously overlooked step. Keeping your supplies in one place can save you a buck load of time and energy. The best idea is to put all of your supplies in one kitchen cabinet so you can have everything at your disposal. This also allows you to keep count of the items and you quickly know if you are out of something.

Do the dishes

Dishes should be done upfront. Gather all the dirty dishes from the kitchen, in fact from the entire house. Wash them with warm soapy water. Arguably doing the dishes is the hardest part in cleaning a kitchen.

Clean, wash the sink and counters

After you are done with the dishes, wash and clean the sink area and kitchen counters. Since sink has the leftover food scrapping you should wash it thoroughly, but you can just scrub the counters and they would be as good as new.

Collect all the unwanted and non-kitchen items

Our kitchen is almost clean now. The next thing to do is to collect everything you don’t want in your kitchen. This is the key for keeping anything clean and functional. If you show sluggishness regarding putting things back to their proper places, your kitchen or any other room for that matter will never be clean. Collect all the items quickly scan them to decide if they are going to the trash or not. Put all the trash into a bag and put it on the side for time being. When you are entirely done with the kitchen, you can take the trash out.

Do some conventional cleaning, vacuum or sleep the place

With kitchens, you don’t have to do this every day. But even then vacuuming a kitchen takes less than 2-3 minutes. Vacuuming or sweeping will allow you to spotlessly clean your kitchen. All the food is prepared in the kitchen; we wouldn’t want that dirty, now would we?
